'Emily has been asking about me?' A complex feeling bloomed within the young man's heart. Amy thought his lack of response was probably because he was uncomfortable. She would be too if she was in his position. But they needed to have this talk and sort things out. He was a good young man and Amy wanted him to stay that way.
She saw the sad look in Stella's eyes earlier. She was not sure why but she at least did not want her to look at him with such eyes. She was used to the bright and warm Stella. So Amy strengthened her resolve to deal with this.
