Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 – Bedrock

[2012 – August]

As we sat in the jet that was supposed to bring us to the Helicarrier, Silver stopped her game and turned off the Game Boy. Attaching it to the strap I made for her, she let it hang over to her side, the strap lying diagonally over her chest.

"I'm sleepy, father.", she said while turning to me, an absolutely adorable look on her angelic face.

Of course as an android, Silver technically couldn't get tired. She could however engage a Rest-Mode that allowed her to sleep and rest like a normal human being.

Grabbing her by her sides, I pulled her into my lap, so she could rest her head on my shoulder, something she promptly did.

Looking at Wanda with puppy eyes, she asked: "Lullaby?"

Wanda had even less resistance against Silver's cuteness, which was made obvious as she simply grabbed Silver's hand with her own and began to sing her a lullaby that our mother had always sang to us when we were little, not caring about Fury sitting opposite to us or the pilots in the front.

A few minutes later, Silver had already fallen asleep, while Wanda's eyes shined with motherly love, as she looked at the sleeping face of her daughter.

A few hours later we finally reached the Helicarrier, which was currently located somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Landing on the deck of the aircraft, the hatch opened up and allowed us to disembark from the jet.

Silver chose this moment to wake up and look around curiously, while Wanda carried her around. I was carrying a bag with some clothes for us and Silver's little bagpack filled with her games.

After Fury exchanged a few words with a female agent, that had come to greet him, he turned to us and gestured to the agent as he said: "This is Agent Hill, she will take you to your quarters. It will take a few hours for Doctor Banner to arrive here, so you have some time to rest or look around. The Agent will answer any questions you may have. Now excuse me, I have some things to take care of."

As Fury turned around, already giving orders over his headset, Agent Hill approached us.

"This way please.", she said professionally, moving to the front and leading us to our room.

A few minutes of navigating through corridors and some staircases, we reached our quarters.

It was relatively big with a giant bed, a television, a desk and one of the walls was completely made out of glass, giving us a great view of the ocean and later probably the sky.

"We aren't really equipped for children, but I am sure a few of the channels on board are playing cartoons. Also, here is a tablet that will show you where you can go and where you can't. If there aren't anymore questions, I will take my leave.", she said, not losing her professional tone.

Over our mental bond, Wanda informed me that the Agent felt quite intimidated and scared, especially of Wanda herself. It seemed she feared Wanda's mind control, after she had seen what Barton had done. once turned.

"You don't have to be scared. I will not use my powers against any of you, unless you force me to.", Wanda said in a calm voice.

Only the slightest twitch of the Agent's eyebrows, showed that Wanda's words had hit a nerve.

Giving us a short nod, the Agent simply turned around and walked away without replying.

The look in Wanda's eyes told me that she felt bothered by other people's fear of her power. I understood her well, as who would actually enjoy being feared by others, just because of what they 'could' do.

Probably sociopaths, but Wanda was anything but that.

Wanda used her mind-related powers often when confronting someone, as it was an incredible tool and I had tried my best to make her feel comfortable with using it.

I didn't want her to fear her own power, just because she was afraid of other people's view of her.

Approaching her, after she had put Silver down on the bed, where the little girl had promptly started to play her games again. I embraced her tightly, while trying to reassure her with my words.

"Remember what I have told you with regards to your powers?", I questioned with a gentle whisper, feeling her arms snake around my midsection.

"That I cannot control other people's fear and only my own.", Wanda whispered back, while burying her face in the crook of my neck.

"Mhm.", I hummed in confirmation.

Turning towards Silver, I suggested lightly, "How about you go and explore the ship a bit, Silver?"

"Ok.", she murmered in assent, as she walked out of the room completely focused on her game.

Alone with Wanda, I ran my hands along her sides, before sliding them under her clothes and kissing down her neck.

Slowly stripping each other from our clothes, we soon ended up on the bed completely nude.

Kissing her deeply, I took hold over her hands and held them above her head with one of my own. My other hand was carressing the soft flesh of her breast with the help of my lips, while Wanda filled the room with sweet cries of pleasure.

Positioning myself correctly, I sheated myself inside of Wanda, causing us both to give off a lengthy moan. Pressing my forehead against hers and feeling her breath on my lips, while we shared a long, intense eye contact.

The way her eyes practically glowed with love and longing, made my superhuman heart skip a beat.

I may be searching for things beyond this planet's blue sky – power, adventure and immortality, but as I looked into Wanda's eyes, I knew that she was the reason I walked on this Earth, her love making me feel alive.

As Silver walked along the busy corridors of the Helicarrier, a small smile decorated her face, as she played her games while on the move.

She wasn't angry that her father sent her to explore the ship, she knew very well what her parents were going to do. Afterall she had seen them sleeping together on many occasions as an AI, since she had access to any electronical device in their home and most of those had cameras and microphones.

In fact she was happy for them, as she saw them being intimate with one another as a proof of their love for each other. And how could she be angry at her parents, for loving each other too much?

Their love for each other was afterall the foundation on which their little family was built upon.
