Chapter 7 - Chapter 07 – Confrontation

After making out for a few minutes, I broke our kiss and moved back a bit. Looking at her breathing heavily under me, I said: "Let's get dressed. We have a lot to do today. I want to show you a nearby abandoned factory building that would be perfect for our needs. We also have to go buy a laptop and some books. There is a lot to do."

"Or we could just stay in bed.", she replied in a low and raspy voice, that sent a tingling sensation along my spine.

Bending low, I whispered my reply into her ears, followed by a playfull bite to her ear.

"Don't tempt me, my love."

Directly afterwards I used my Superspeed to escape her clutches.

"Ahh! That's not fair. No using your Superspeed to tease me.", Wanda said with an adrable pout on her enchantingly beautiful face.

"I agree to nothing. How could I ever resist you without superpowers?", I countered with a smirk.

Using my Superspeed, I clothed myself in some blue jeans, a shirt and a grey hoodie. I quickly realised, that I really had to buy myself some more hoodies, as they were my favourite piece of clothing and I only had three different ones.

Grabbing the last hoodie, I moved to Wanda's room and also grabbed a pair of jeans, some underwear and a shirt, before returning to my room and disengaging my Speed-Mode.

"Here, let me help you dress."

"You really seem to like dressing me, Pietro.", she answered with a teasing smile.

"Not as much as undressing. But I get to touch you either way, so I am a fan of both.", I replied back, seeing her gaze turning a bit more heated and a small blush crawling onto her face.

Moving on her knees over the bed in my direction in nothing but a shirt of mine, she got up and approached me. Her hips swaying the whole time, while her nipples poked against the shirt clearly visible. Before she reached me though, she pulled off my shirt and stepped in front of me in all her naked glory.

"Fine. Dress me, my love.", she whispered into my ear, while her hands wandered over my chest and carressed my cheek.

It costed me a considerable amount of willpower to resist her attempt at seduction, but somehow I managed to do it.

Slowly pulling myself free from her grasp, I helped her dress. It was nerve-wreaking. It was exhilerating. It was agony. It was one of the best moments of my life.

Finally, when she was completely dressed, I put my hands to the sides of her face and drew her in for a searing kiss. All the while pushing her backwards, until her back touched the wall behind her.

Lifting her up, I couldn't resist indulging in her taste a little longer.

A few minutes later, when we both were equally out of breath, I let her down and said.

"We should really go, or I don't know how long I can resist you any longer."

"I don't want you to resist."

Grabbing some money from the bag, I took hold of her hand and lead her towards the apartment door.

"We have important things to do. Come."

Putting on our shoes and jackets, with mine being a normal winter coat and hers a vest, we left the apartment, hand in hand.

A few hours later, after I had shown her the abandoned factory, we were strolling through a mall. Having already bought a laptop, we were on their way to the bookstore.

"What kind of books do you wanna buy?", Wanda asked curiously.

"Books about programming mostly, along with some about science. Specifically physics and chemistry.", I told her.

"Programming? Like with computers and stuff?"

"Yep, that programming."

"Why?", she questioned, surprised at my sudden interest in the subject.

"Computers are at the core of society, they control everthing. From every traffic light up to banking, they are the fundation of modern society. I thought it would be a good idea to learn something about them, especially now that I have to figure out this acount book. I am sure that these bank accounts can be accessed online, but I don't want to leave a trace when doing so. That leaves me with no choice but to learn programming, so I can hide my tracks.", I explained to her as we walked to the bookstore.

Thankfully it was only late in the morning on a week day, which meant that there weren't too many people around. I was never a fan of big crowds as Silver and this charater trait seemd to have carried over.

"Mmh. If you say it like that, maybe I should also learn it.", she reasoned, while furrowing her brows.

Stopping in my tracks, I turned towards her. Lifting her chin with my hand, I countered.

"You have me, don't you?"

Simling at me, she rested her hand on my cheek and answered.

"I do, don't I?"

Before getting on her tiptoes and pressing her delicious lips against mine.

I nearly lost myself in that kiss, but a nearby cry of shock pulled me back into reality.

"What the hell are you two doing?!"

Turning towards the direction of the voice, I saw young woman standing before us. Bag in hand, she stared at us in shock. I recognized her as Selena, a friend/aquaintance from our old workplace.

I remember Wanda telling me that Selena had a crush on me, but I hadn't been interested at that time and even less now.

I put on a neutral face and waited for Wanda's reaction. I knew that sooner or later someone we knew would see us together, as we didn't bother hiding our relationship. Walking around hand-in-hand and kissing each other in public, it was only a matter of time, before something like this happened.

Our love was a taboo, even worse it was illegal in this country.

Wanda's look changed from happy and joyful to blank and frowning, but she didn't move out of my embrace. On the contrary, she pressed her back into my chest, while looking at Selena.

"What does it look like?", she rebutted with a harsh tone.

"Y-... You are siblings, you sho-!"

"We are twins. We belong together. And you should mind your own buisness, Selena."

Hearing Wanda say these words, left me with an indescribable feeling. Seeing her defend our bond with such conviction, it made my heart jump in joy.

"This is unnatural! You should be ashamed of yourself! Seducin-", Selena's voice dripped with disgust as she said that and I wasn't willing to listen to her insults and accusation.

Wrapping my arm around Wanda's shoulders, I pulled her close, keeping her from replying.

Instead I fixed my gaze on Selena and interrupted her with a calm voice.

"I do not care about your opinion, but I won't stand here and listen to your insults. Now, keep your mouth shut and get lost."

Right when, Selena was in the middle of admonishing that man-stealing whore, Pietro interrupted her. And as she shifted her gaze to him, ready to retort his words, she saw his eyes.

It wasn't the fact that their colour had changed from brown to blue that made her freeze up. It was the look in those crystal orbs that did that. There was something dark, something dangerous in his eyes.

Selena instinctively knew that she needed leave now. Still, as she turned around and walked away, she snorted derisively to at least keep some face and not made it look like she ran away in fear, which she definitely did.

The moment she left the mall, she pulled out her phone and sent several messages to all her co-workers, informing them of what she had just witnessed.

Looking down at the side of Wanda's face, I addressed her in a low voice.

"Do you want to leave? I can come back later and get these books."

Wanda turned her head to face me and brought her hand to my cheek. Smiling gently, she replied.

"I don't care about what she said. I know in my heart that this is right. That it is meant to be. So let's get you those books and then you can take me home."

As if to emphasize her words, she pressed her lips onto mine for a short kiss, before dragging me to the bookstore.

And while we searched for the books I wanted, our phones kept buzzing with messages. So we simply turned them off after reading a few of them, effectively restoring peace to our shopping trip.

Afterwards we took a taxi and went back home.
