Zoey Allen had just reached the door when Selena Flores woke up.
"How did I fall asleep?"
"Do you still want to sleep?"
Selena Flores rubbed her eyes and shook her head.
Yale Allen brought over a glass jar filled with flowers: "Are these flowers enough? If not, I'll pick more for you."
"These are enough." She leaned in to smell the blossoms at the mouth of the jar, "Do you want sweet osmanthus tea, or the salty kind?"
"Either is fine, I like whichever one you make."
Yale Allen shifted his chair to sit closer, tilting his head to kiss Selena Flores.
Zoey Allen leaned on the doorframe, watching the two of them. This "teenager" of an old man sure had a sweet way of courting.
She tilted her head back, shielding her eyes and peeking at the sunlight through her fingers.
The autumn day was splendid.
Her phone rang, and she answered as she walked out: "CEO Watson."
