During the lunch break, Rae Bennett received a call from Doghead, the Military Advisor.
"Hello."
"Big news, want to hear it?"
Perhaps it was because of this big news that Juan Morris sounded a bit airy.
"Don't beat around the bush."
Juan Morris became frank in a second, "Oh." Then he got straight to the point, "I think Wyatt Wright has a thing for you."
Not wanting to disturb her colleagues during their break, Rae stepped out to continue the call, "Why do you think so?"
"Yesterday, at Hailton, I ran into your Wyatt, and I saw him standing with Averi Rivera."
Rae's strides halted just as a corpse was wheeled past her.
"Is this what you call big news?"
Suddenly, a chill crept up Juan Morris's neck, and he rubbed it, his voice losing several degrees of strength.
