Wyatt Wright had been missing for two days.
Rae Bennett went about her usual routine of eating, sleeping, and working without showing any signs of abnormality. She even managed to calmly reassure Miss Watson that Wyatt would find a way to let his family know he was safe.
On the morning of the 26th, the funeral home received a body that needed restoration. The deceased was an employee of a debt collection company who was brutally murdered by the debtor while attempting to collect a debt. The debtor had been brought to justice, but the autopsy had taken time, leading to severe decomposition of the body. Rae and Sir Perry spent four hours completing the restoration work.
When Rae came out of the Repair Room, there was no one around.
She asked Madam Raven, "Didn't the family come?"
"Mr. Myers' parents are deceased, and he wasn't married, so we couldn't contact any family. However, a colleague did come by, and he was just here a moment ago."
The deceased's surname was Myers.
