Wyatt Wright didn't answer, instead he turned and walked into the night without looking back.
Isaac Tuffin saw him leaving and immediately scrambled up, desperately rushing out.
Emily Watson was helped to her feet, her hair drenched by the rain and messily sticking to her neck.
"If you dare utter a word about what that man said..."
The threat was left unfinished, but it didn't need completion.
Aunt Filan hastily replied, "Young Lady, rest assured, I didn't hear anything."
Staggering, Emily Watson walked towards the house, with Aunt Filan holding an umbrella for her. Once inside, Emily Watson collapsed to the ground.
"Young Lady!"

Rae Bennett came to pick up Wyatt Wright.
"He ran off," she pointed behind Wyatt Wright.
Isaac Tuffin stumbled out into the rain, staggering forward.
Wyatt Wright closed his umbrella and walked under Rae's, taking her umbrella from her: "Don't worry, Ralph Myers is outside."
Rae couldn't help but look back.
