In the afternoon, Uncle Howard's family was digging lotus roots, and everyone in the village who had some free time came to help. It was past six o'clock, and the sun was still over West Mountain, treating the sky like a canvas and painting it with colorful clouds.
The female students returning from school parked their bicycles by the road and walked to the Field Ridge, quietly parting the lotus leaves.
"There, do you see it?"
"Holy crap, it's really Wyatt Wright!"
Both girls were middle schoolers, one from Wright Village and the other from Harris Estate.
Rose Wright of Wright Village had said that a very famous photographer had come to their village, and this photographer was a fellow villager. Jade Howard from Harris Estate didn't believe her.
