It was already past eleven o'clock, and Miss Watson couldn't feel sleepy at all. She was worried to death, not knowing how Wyatt Wright was doing in Wright Village, whether he had eaten well, or if he had been sleeping well.
An hour ago, Rae Bennett had called Miss Watson to say that Wyatt's fever had gone down. He was the type to swallow his own blood rather than spit it out. He wouldn't vent; he would just bear everything on his own.
