3:50 PM.
Dante Stephens and Tina Savage from the Major Case Team went to Mercy Hospital to take a statement from Harper Bennett.
Harper Bennett looked much more haggard than the day before, wearing a baggy hospital gown, her hair disheveled and her eyes swollen and red, looking so fragile and pitiful that it stirred one's heart.
Upon seeing the two officers, she asked anxiously, "Have you retrieved my mother's body?"
Tina Savage said, "Not yet."
"What about the kidnapper, have you found them?"
Tina Savage shook her head.
Harper Bennett clutched the blanket tightly, her wrists slender and fragile under the sleeves of her gown, she bowed her head in grief, unable to hide her sorrow.
Cherishing the weak is an instinct for most men; the more vulnerable someone appears, the more it arouses their protective desire.
Dante quickly tried to console her, "Miss Bennett, don't be too upset, your health is what's important."
