Leaving the consultation room, Selena Flores made her way slowly down the corridor toward the elevator, her right hand instinctively resting on her lower abdomen.
Behind her, a woman called out, "Lele, slow down."
The child ran haphazardly along the corridor, barging about.
Selena was bumped on the arm and instinctively hugged her belly.
Only then did the child stop, sheepishly apologized upon realizing he had bumped into someone, "I'm sorry, Auntie."
"It's okay."
The woman caught up, pulling the child to her side and said with great apology, "I'm so sorry, did he bump into you?"
Selena shook her head.
The woman with the child entered the elevator first.
Selena was in no hurry and took out her smartphone to make a call.
"Asher."
Asher Harrington had found a job delivering food recently, working even on weekends, giving all the money he earned to Selena.
"I have something to tell you, can you come home early today?"
