After that, it was Wyatt who controlled the pace.
Like all ordinary couples, they had their simple, everyday romance.
Rae often accompanied Wyatt to his classes when she had nothing else to do. Once, she sneaked into the classroom mid-lecture and sat at the very back. The old professor, sharp-eyed, spotted her late arrival and specifically called on her to answer a question.
That old professor was easy to talk to and had a sense of humor.
Rae boldly admitted, "I don't know how to answer this question, I'm just sitting in on my boyfriend's class."
The professor smiled kindly, "Which one is the boyfriend? Stand up and help your girlfriend with the answer."
The classmates looked at each other, and then Wyatt, sitting in the third row, stood up and answered the professor's question smoothly and accurately.
After class, a buddy from basketball practice came over and asked Wyatt, "Is she really your girlfriend?"
"Yeah."
