Wyatt Wright's fingers, which had been tapping away at the keyboard, suddenly halted. He turned his head to look at her, his lovely eyes wider than usual.
Rae Bennett had never seen such an animated expression on him before and found it amusing, so she leaned in closer and called him, "Baby."
She was so close that Wyatt could smell the scent of her body wash. He quickly turned his face away.
It was the beginning of summer, and the evenings were uncomfortably hot.
"Rae Bennett, choose another one." He looked at the computer screen; the cursor hadn't moved.
Rae's gaze was always direct and passionate when she looked at him. "Why?" she asked.
Too cheesy.
Wyatt didn't voice it out loud.
"Okay," she was very indulgent with her boyfriend and chose another one, "Honey."
"..."
Nineteen-year-old Wyatt was quite prone to blushing.
Rae Bennett leaned on his desk, her eyes sparkling and moist as she looked at him, "You don't have class tomorrow, do you?"
"Mm."
