Yvonne Finley let her gaze rest on his figure. She was initially half-asleep, but now she was mostly awake. She started walking towards him, "What are you doing?"
Caleb Baker was wearing only a pair of casual sports pants, his upper body bare. He looked at her, his thoughts unreadable. Seeing her approach, he spoke, "Could you wait outside for a bit?"
Yvonne Finley's steps halted at these words.
But only for a few seconds.
She quickly stepped forward, giving him barely any time to react.
One hand gripped his arm, "Take it out."
Caleb Baker narrowed his eyes, simply staring back at her.
Yvonne Finley pressed her lips together before speaking again, "Take it out, I saw it."
And so they locked in that moment.
Then Caleb Baker finally moved his adam's apple, slowly revealing the syringe to her eyes. Within it was a startling, crimson liquid.
