The moonlight spilled over, draping the scene in a layer of pearly white.

This left Yvonne Finley somewhat baffled. He let go of her and simply sat down on the soft sand, absorbing the sea view. His heart seemed to empty with his admission, "No."
Yvonne touched the warmth at her collarbone and sat beside him: "Don't tell me you've drunk so much you've lost all memory."
Just this morning, he was still telling her about someone stalking her.

Caleb turned to look at her without responding and started to unbutton his shirt.
The black satin shirt had an excellent feel to it. Each button was gingerly undone by those slender fingers. Yvonne watched nervously, stuttering, "Can you sober up? We have to go back; we can't stay here. Stop that."
She tried to stop him.
His other hand seized hers.
The shirt buttons were completely undone.
