This was destined to be a sleepless night, with the police station in utter chaos, filled with sobbing, cursing, and never-ending dramas.
Ivy Miller was entirely unwilling to accept the reality that was so bluntly relayed to her by the police: Sophia Clark was dead, killed at the top of that building in the most brutal way imaginable. Sophia had suffered immensely, clearly witnessing the loss of her own life bit by bit.
"Mrs. Clark, please calm down. I understand how you must be feeling, but we need you to cooperate in our investigation. Do you understand?" the police officer barked sternly.
Ivy snapped out of her daze, her eyes red with grief. Sophia was her proudest and most accomplished daughter, intelligent since childhood and always honoring the family. She was even more cherished than her second daughter, Olivia. Why had it come to this?!
"What exactly happened? How did she end up at that place?!" Ivy asked, trembling with fear.
