There was extreme commotion on the other end of the phone, as the event venue was bustling with reporters, fans and numerous fashionistas. Yet, Walker Martinez's voice cut through the chaos like a sharp blade, piercing halfway around the globe into her ear. His words were harsh, icy and distant.
