Caleb Baker didn't rest either.
It was already late at night.
He leaned against the head of the bed, with one leg bent. The cold night outside the window spilled onto him, seemingly brushing a thin layer of silver gauze on him. The shadow of his jawline was deep, and for some unknown reason, his lowered eyelashes trembled from time to time, as if harboring some worries. The scene was quiet and inexplicably sad.
When Yvonne Finley opened the door-
She paused for a moment, a strange feeling stirring within her. She had thought about the many emotions she might feel. Resentment? Anger? Or confusion?
But it seemed, there were none.
She seemed to have changed.
She used to be indifferent.
Now, she's still indifferent, but with a glimpse of some softness.
When Caleb Baker looked up at her, their eyes met. His eyelids moved slightly, his lips parted but ended up uttering, "Are you cold?"
