Jake Baker was frustrated.
He had already had a bad day, and to make things worse, Caleb Baker saw him at his most disheveled and embarrassed moments.
"There was a bit of an incident," he said.
Caleb Baker nodded indifferently, and arrogantly replied, "Do you know who did it?"
Jake Baker frowned, his expression grave: "Nobody..."
He wasn't entirely sure.
Why would there be roses on his bed? He had just given them to Yvonne Finley, and yet they ended up on his bed. But Yvonne Finley didn't have the means to sneak into the Baker family mansion, avoid all the surveillance, it didn't make sense, did it?
Moreover,
his courtship satisfied all a woman's vanity, so they wouldn't be so ungrateful, right?
Caleb Baker chuckled ambiguously. In the dead silent moonlight, his eyes were impenetrable, and he seemed even more indifferent: "Think before you act."
He left him with just these four words.
Then he turned around and left.
He was in a pretty good mood tonight.
