Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Rebirth

Year 2098, Planet Cearilia, Galaxy Orion

On the planet Cearilia, there were enormous explosions taking place each explosion was equivalent to a nuclear bomb, as the smoke disappeared the outline of two figures could be seen.

Among which one was Simon, the protagonist of the novel, who was betrayed by his fellow ranker, Frank.

Frank said Simon give no matter what you do you can't beat me it's already a remarkable feat that you lasted so long against me, give the useless resistance and hand it over and I might leave your body in one piece.

Hearing it Simon was enraged he was absolutely furious on his so-called friend, the only thing Simon knew was that he was going so to snatch it from him.

The next moment Simon said Don't you want it come and take it away as Simon took back his killing intent.

Seeing that Simon had given up, Frank approached Simon, as soon as he was within 2 meters near Simon he felt something was wrong, but before he could think more about it Simon's body started to crack as luminous rays of light oozed out of Simon.

Frank cursed as he tried to back off "sh*t, he is destroying his mana core.

Boom!

The whole planet was destroyed without any signs of life nearby.

"Huh, where am I? Is this heaven? No...no.... heaven can't be this small, right? and what is it that ringing so Simon said while being confused and curious.

"Isn't this my house from 70 years ago? How am I here? Am I stuck in an illusion?" Countless questions popped in Simon's head.

He soon opened his cell phone and browsed and to his surprise he found out that he had been brought back in time. That too, 1 day before the release of Stellar.

Simon clenched his fist and said "Since I got another chance, in this life I shall become the strongest".

He got ready and went to a convenience store near his apartment and bought canned food sufficient for a month.

"hey, what are you preparing for an apocalypse? heh" mocked the staff at the counter.

Simon didn't reply and paid the bill with his card.

Soon as Simon returned home, he started meditating and tried to remember all the memories of his past. He tried to remember all the things which he could use, all the fortunous encounters of the big shots in his past life.

Simon continued to meditate till the evening and soon paused since he felt he had remembered all memories necessary. He soon had his dinner and got to bed.

The next day Simon got up and had his fill and waited for the Stellar to release.

Now the question arises what is Stellar?

Stellar is virtual reality world in which the players could do anything for trading to fighting, from studying to playing, well a player could do anything but the main purpose of Stellar was to increase their levels and skills, since the game would merge with reality in the future, but of course nobody knew about it unless they came back from future. Even the disabled could move in the game, and one of the most unique things about it was that the time difference between reality and game, it was at the ratio of 1: 2, if one played the game throughout their life that would be almost equivalent to living twice his original life span. It left behind all other virtual reality games.

In the future Stellar would become the second world, most of the gaming guilds and rankers would defect to Stellar.

Another unique characteristic of Stellar was that unlike any other, it didn't require one to have a gaming pod or a helmet, one just needed to think and the person would log into Stellar.

Simon was at ease since not everyone was a otaku, they wouldn't just go and keep on thinking log in. A reason why very few knew about it was because Stellar had no advertisement or any other type of representation. So, nobody knew such a thing existed. It was those otaku who spread the news about it.

Just as the clock rang at 1 Simon thought "log in"

Simon's consciousness had been sucked away from his body, his body fell down on the bed lifelessly and just as Simon opened his eyes he found himself in a space with filled with darkness, and this was where the new player would get basic information about Stellar and enter their username and class selection.

"how long has it been since I am here" Simon whispered.

[Please enter your username.]

Simon entered the same name as his past life

The next instant another panel appeared

[Checking mana spirit....]

Mana spirit was a manifestation of one's soul and would provide the owner few abilities and buffs. It could be found in any form from a dragon to ant, from a great sword to a needle. It depended upon luck who would get which. Its primary function was to assist in the usage of mana.

Unfortunately, in Simon's past life Simon couldn't get a mana spirit which slowed down his progress by a lot. Similarly to his past another panel appeared.

[No compatible mana spirit found]

Seeing the panel Simon was in utter despair, but the next moment another panel appeared.

[As the first player to log into Stellar, player winged heaven is rewarded with Origin tier mana spirit, Eye of Void]

Seeing the panel before him Simon was filled with joy to the brim. He now had a mana spirit and that too, a Origin tier Mana spirit, in his past life nobody had a Origin tier spirit, it was only rumored but nobody knew if it existed or not.

But now Simon has one too.

[Choose your basic class]

[Warrior] [mage]

If one chose warrior he could use classes like knight, guardian, and other classes related to absorbing mana to strengthen body. If one chose mage he/she could could use classes like summoner, necromancer, healer and other hidden classes related to mana release.

Simon chose mage class since unlike his past life he now had a mana spirit.

Simon chose the same village as his past because who would know the village much better than him.

[Transporting player to Acton village]

[Wishing player a adventurous journey]

Simon started to dissipate and finally disappeared, as Simon disappeared the being who had been observing Simon since his arrival in the void let a sigh and once again entered slumber.

The next moment as Simon opened his eyes he saw a village which looked like it was from the medieval age

Simon calmed himself and he added the 50 free attribute point to each stat. Simon preferred to have no weakness and no specialty. Though any normal mage class player would invest all his attribute points into mana since more mana you have the more spells one can use but Simon was no normal person.

Simon entered the beginner academy in the village, and learned the basics of mana. It took him barely 15 minutes to perfect his basics, the NPCs were shocked and gave him a long sword and a fire ball spell book in order to appreciate him.

After receiving the spell book, Simon instantly learned it and left, he rushed to forest outside the village and started killing chicken using fireballs. Though killing chicken sounded easy it was total opposite of it, The chicken were agile and would attack in groups. So if one made a mistake and got surrounded by chickens he would die painfully since a single attack of a chicken would have -1hp damage they would attack repeatedly until they killed the player. Since the in-game pain can felt every newbie would commit suicide rather than trying to struggle. In simple words the pain could be described as having needles poking you from all sides.

Simon who had years of experience with his sharp senses could easily avoid the chickens. He started killing chickens as if they were mere ants. Just as the chickens would attack him, he leaps to a safe place and uses the fireball spell; all the chickens who were gathered to kill Simon would die together.

During the battle against chickens Simon realized mage class had an advantage over warrior classes against large number of enemies but they were restricted by mana stats and they would be required to be aware of their surroundings.

Messages kept popping up

By the time his mana exhausted Simon had killed a little over 100 chickens. Rather than grinding it looked more like a massacre.

Simon now reached level 3 and needed more 50 exp points to reach level 4, right now Simons all stats were 23 and he had 45 free attribute points.

[each level up providing +1 to all stats and 5 free attribute points for players with normal classes]

Simon would have continued if not for having his mana exhausted and his inventory having no more space.

Simon now returned to the village, he could find a few players present, some who were dreaming to be fantasy hero with a harem, some who were waiting for their golden finger, Simon couldn't help but sigh "why were such otaku the ones to log into the game first?"

Simon decided to ignore them; he then walked to the NPC merchant shop to sell all the chicken meat he collected after killing the chickens

Simon soon opened his inventory and was petrified, he couldn't control himself, and he somehow calmed himself down and sold the hundred chicken meats to the merchant at 1 chicken meat for 1 bronze coin. Alex now had 1 silver coin.

[100 bronze coin-> 1 silver coin]

[100 silver coin -> 1 gold coin]

[1000 gold coin-> 1 platinum coin]

Simon left the merchant shop and rented a room in an inn to stay.

Simon entered the room and once again opened his inventory and found out there was something that shouldn't be there, Simon found the thing which was responsible for doom in his past life it was an orb. In his past life Simon couldn't find out what it was since the moment he got it he was betrayed. Now that Simon had it, he used the skill identify on it, a panel displaying the orb's information popped.

Simon was disappointed he was very eager to check what it was and what importance it hold for him to get betrayed. But unfortunately he couldn't check it due to his low level.

Simon had been in game for 10 hours.

[1 hour in reality-> 2 hours in game]

He of course, was hungry he soon prepared some dinner and then began seeing the condition of reality

He saw a few news channels reporting about people with superhuman powers Simon understood they were the otakus who joined the game early.

They caused quite havoc in his past life. Soon a thought flew through Simon's mind wasn't it because everyone joined the game later on the reason why the future had been horrible even if everyone wasn't strong wouldn't a collective effort keep help in keeping the society in order.

Simon tried to find a solution through which he could have all humans join Stellar sooner, the very next instant Simon opened his laptop it was quite an expensive one with fast computing speed and features. He began programming a virus which would make the screen black out every 10 minutes and display [Log in] in bold and big font, through this way he could make many people join the game soon, though many would be shocked to find themselves in a unknown place, but in the end it was the most efficient way Simon could think of. Of course after 10 days the virus would self-destruct as for those who still couldn't figure it out it was simply their fault for over thinking.

Now that the virus was out, Simon got to sleep. The virus spread at an extremely fast rate it infected 600,000 devices in an hour. The intelligence forces of all countries were trying to track the culprit behind it, but none could find Simon.

Most people thought about the "Log in" on their screen and were transferred to Stellar. The world had been on an upheaval and the one who caused it, is sleeping peacefully.

It has been 10 days since the virus was released and now was the time the virus got destroyed, in the past 10 days Simon had been training the battle arts he had had trained in his past life.

Battle arts were similar to spells but were quite different. The grade of battle art and the proficiency of the weapons used would define one control over his weapons.

To his surprise Simon who couldn't perfect the God of War's battle art [Omnipotent wielder]; it was a battle art unlike any other it was also a part of the reason why Simon even without a mana spirit had become a force to be reckoned with. This battle art wasn't restricted by any weapon the essence of the Battle are was formless. In short if one mastered it and had enough strength he/she could slash mountains with just a hair. No matter the thing you hold, it can be turned into weapon of slaughter. Simon had fully master it and gained the weapon ability, domain. Simon was excited to go and log into Stellar.

Domain was the proof one had mastered a weapon to its peak.

But before going he once again went through some social network sites.

There were all kind of chat going on some said Stellar was a gift of aliens since they were bored to play alone they invited us, Some said the owners of the simulation they lived in added it for our entertainment, these were few of the most popular theories, of course they were pure bullshit.

Now that Simon had an understanding of the real word, he logged in.
