*RECESS
Everyone in the classroom would go for a lunch break. Some decided to eat their lunch while there were also a little group of students who wanted to finish their delayed homework. Though most students love to spend their break outside the classroom whether behind the school, on the rooftop or at a secret place only god knows.
Hikari and Miyu enjoyed their meals in the classroom. In order to force Hikari on devouring some foods, Miyu had made an extra bento. Hikari couldn't seem to refuse the bento specially made for her. "Thank you for the foods."
Miyu noticed Hikari was making a grumpy face while staring at the bento. "Is the bento bad?"
"Huh no it's really good, why?" Hikari startled a bit.
"You can't seem to enjoy them though."
"Uh.. I was thinking of my diet..."
"Again with that, stop with your overthinking and just enjoy my cooking." Miyu pouted as she swallowed a rolled egg down to her stomach.
"Uhm..." Hikari nodded in obedience. She might be a delinquent but she was not cruel enough to let her bestie's effort in vain.
"So how's it going with Minamoto-kun?" Miyu dropped the bomb without any warning.
"who?"
"Minamoto Kazuya. You have a crush on him, right?"
"Fweh! what do you mean??" Hikari sprayed her food due to natural reflex.
"I mean, you had been observing him so frequent. Wherever he was, you always had your eyes on him so I thought there must be something that had happened between you two."
"Jeez, you are as observant as ever.."
Hikari had given up on keeping the secret from her. She was one hell of a sensitive person noticing even a little change in her bestfriend's behavior. She had no choice except telling Miyu everything to avoid misunderstanding.

Miyu had heard the backstory of how they met and she seemed to understand little by little of the events that occured. "I see~ so that's how it is."
"Satisfied now?"
"So you're saying that he interested you?"
"Yea but not in 'that' way. I mean he even impressed the whole class this morning."
"As expected of number 2 student in our grade."
"What?!" Hikari was too shocked her chopstick fell onto the bento.
"Oh, you didn't know? His grades is just 0.58 behind me. We're pretty much a rival."
"Although he always skips classes and comes late but still got a high mark in the test, no wonder he's kinda cocky and do whatever he wants."
"Hehe, but he is kind enough to the point of giving you sweets tho." Miyu grinned
"Not much of a help, I still smoke when i get bored."
"But not as often as back then, right? Meaning that you've gained a little accomplishment." Miyu pointed her chopstick right in front of Hikari's face.
"Mmaybe...?" Hikari frowned
"But what he did was right. Fortunately he confiscated your cigarette or else..."
"Okay okay stop right there, now you're switching to granny mode. I can't bear hearing the same nagging over and over again." Both of Hikari's hand placed to the ears.
"H-hey don't call me granny!" No matter in what mood she is, Miyu is still as cute as ever.

"Ugh.. my nose is itchy." Kazuya picked out several sheets of tissues from its packet that he had brought along with him all the time in case of emergency. He was resting himself at the rooftop as usual.
*Growl..
Kazuya remembered that he had not eaten breakfast yet. He only made breakfast for his family but forgot to make one for himself. "How stupid of me.. now I'm hungry. I can't sleep with an empty stomach. Guess I'll go to cafeteria."
Kazuya got up and tucked his hand in the pocket to check whether the money he had was enough to buy at least an onigiri.
"I forgot my wallet." The realization disappointed him.
*Growl..
"I swear next time I won't get up early ever again. My brain couldn't comprehend my bizarre change and forgetting everything."
The bell rang of the end of recess. Kazuya had to go through the school period in starvation. By the end of the school, he stumbled upon Hikari and Miyu along the corridor. Hikari was the first to greet him.
"Yo, why the hurry? Can't wait to meet your bed that much." Hikari teased.
"Did you really think that's what I had in mind 24/7?"
"Yeah kinda."
"Say all you want. By the way since you're here can you lend me some money?"
"What for?"
"I forgot to bring my wallet. I'm starving to death. You seem like someone who love to waste their money on unimportant thing so it's better to lend me instead isn't it?" Kazuya indirectly mentioned the cigarette by metaphorically saying 'unimportant thing'.
"Oh, are you mocking me now?" Hikari only able to smile while holding her anger.
"Triggered?" Still water runs deep. Kazuya may be calm and quiet but his words can be piercing at times.
"Pffft~hehe." Miyu on the side was enjoying their interaction.
"Sigh... I'm just kidding okay. Sorry I don't bring any money. I rarely eat at school." Hikari proceeded the conversation normally, refusing to continue the argument further.
"Ah... the "I'm not eating because I'm worried about my weight" type of girl aren't you?"
"Th-that has nothing to do with you!" Hikari's face turned red due to embarassment. She hated how accurate his guess was.
"My bad. Anyway I'm just joking earlier. Don't take it personal."
"You forgot your wallet was totally a made up so you could made fun of me?"
"No, that's true but I can just go home and take it before going to my part-time job."
"You do a part-time? That's surprising."
"Yea, I need to earn money by myself too."
Put his personality aside, Hikari felt sense of admiration for this guy. He works for additional income while also reaches the top in his study. She began making comparison between them. 'Meanwhile I'm here wasting money while hoping for my parents to provide some funds every month.'
"I have to go now. I've only got 30 minutes left until my shift." Kazuya took his leave after realizing he was short on time.
"Okay goodluck on your work." A spontaneous reply of a friend from Hikari. They were unconsciously acting like a newlyweds couple.
Kazuya eventually fade away from their sight.
"...."
"...."
"So... when is the wedding?"
"Guh, are you making fun of me too??"
