Two masked men continued to fight the zombies that would come launching at them, more specifically it was more so the taller male that was doing the work.
He was shooting the zombies that would come attacking him while multi-tasking and using his dagger to open the head to look for the translucent crystal inside them.
Vincent observed the man while assessing his abilities, Elias was both good at hand in hand combat and using guns.
They were already half way down and it impressed him to no end at how much potential that Elias had.
This man would've been a powerhouse if he didn't drag him down and make him meet his ancestors early.
"Here, Vi. Two more! At this rate, we might done earlier than i thought" Elias said while tossing two translucent crystal at Vincent, Grinning as he continued on shooting.
"hm, We have 40 crystals so you're almost half way through--"
Just as Vincent was in the middle of replying, A zombie came speeding and sneaking behind Elias causing him to widen his eyes.
A tier 2 zombie?! Isn't it only the first week of the Apocalypse?!
Like the world turned slow for a minute. Without even realizing what he did,
Vincent used all his Mental ability and summoned needles while grabbing his knife to cut off those super-fast legs.
Piercing through the zombies head before it can even use its abilities, Vincent didn't hesitate while hearing the Zombie scream in agony.
quickly grabbing the nuclei inside using his space ability, Vincent looked at the fallen zombie aswell as the dumbfounded Elias on the side.
"what.."
"Don't ask." Vincent said coldly, His bangs still hid his expression as he stared at the corpse on the ground.
Elias only nodded and continued on doing the task, He knew how Vincent is when his angry and knew to just not say anything. Although he had questions about what just happened, He was smart enough to not do it.
Vincent felt his hands tremble as he tried to calculate what had just happened,
Is the timeline speeding up?..
Is it because there are now time-travelers that came from the future that Zombies have also started to evolve faster?
Tier 2 zombies that are fast at running would only come after 1 month into the Apocalypse.
'Is this the butterfly effect for our presence here?' Vincent thought bitterly.
If things are evolving faster then humans would either have to evolve and have abilities too or be eliminated.
But the problem is that to evolve and advance, They would need to have resistance over the virus.
It's only week 1 of the Apocalypse, Resistance is probably something only people who came from the future like Vincent had.
Although he isn't sure if that Yue girl has an ability but Vincent himself had the space ability when he woke up.
Vincent was frustrated but also expected that this would happen, The only thing he could do now is be stronger so that he can stand a fight against them!
Tier 2 zombies aren't really that big of a threat unless they have abilities.
Tier 2 zombies are just zombies that have super speed but god knows how much of a nightmare they are to humans.
Vincent was lucky he was able to kill that tier 2 zombie because that zombie had just recently evolved and was in a weakened state.
Evolving can leave you defenseless and weak for days, Its the reason why levelling up was needed to be inside a base or fort.
'But i need to grow stronger now, I need to catch up or else I'll be left behind' Vincent thought so while his hands were clenched together.
His ability was B rank for the most part although his space is his biggest cheat in life, Compared to the other powerhouses that would be born--He was nothing.
Not to mention that some had also went back in time just like him and that the Zombies seem to have evolved faster than before.
After the day finally passed, The two of them walked to the house in silence. Neither one saying a word.
Elias had already noticed that Vincent was in a bad mood and could only sensibly refrain from talking while Vincent was too busy thinking about the future to create small talks.
