Chapter 23 - Livestream (Part 2)

"Okay everyone. Now it's time for the good stuff." Chuck said while standing in front of the gas burners.

4 of them were heating up 4 different pans. He threw a bit of butter into each pan.

"I marinated these venison steaks a bit earlier. We will use a bit of seasoning, then here we go."

Chuck placed a steak in each pan.

*Sizzle*

"Oh yeah! This is going to be good." Kyle said.

"I am making pan seared venison steak. This marinade and mix of seasoning will bring out the best flavor in the meat. We just have to watch and make sure we get a nice even heat spread across the pan.

Another pan was also being heated. Butter was added.

"Over here we are cooking up some asparagus. Yum."

"Ah! So good. Cook faster." Kyle said.

"I am going as fast as I can. We are looking for a nice medium rare steak. It should be pink inside but not bloody."

"Steak, veggies. I feel like something is missing bro."

"Ha, ha, of course. You can't put out steak and veggies without this." Chuck said while uncover a pot that was on low heat. "We got fresh mashed potatoes that are almost done."

"Nice, nice, I can't wait."

[KungFuFan: Dang I thought this free meal was already good. Wahhh! I want the good stuff.]

[BigHairRocker: Ha, ha, at least we got a pretty much free meal for a like and a DP. I have a feeling a couple big shots are gonna snatch up the good stuff.]

[JimmyStarChild: Maybe, but it is just food. There is better stuff to spend money on.]

[HappyHank: Ha, ha, sounds like Jimmy is broke.]

"Okay, time to flip the steaks."

*Sizzle*

"Nice, look at that sear. That is going to lock in all these juicy flavors." Chuck said.

He then set 4 plates on the counter and started to portion out the mashed potatoes. He then set the asparagus next to the potatoes.

"Looks like our meat is done. Let's just let that rest over here for a minute. Now do you see all this saucy goodness still left in the pan. This is important stuff, we can't just throw it away." Chuck said while he poured the juices from the 4 pans into 1.

"Oh… Why not. My mom would always pour that mess down the sink." Kyle said,

"Let me show you why." Chuck said as he pulled out another container. "Do you remember when we made that soup earlier. Well I saved some of the base stock and added a bit of flour. Now we pour it into our pan with the juice goodness that got cooked out of our steak. Keep it over the heat and cook up it up real good."

"Ahh! I get it. That's our gravy."

"You got it." Chuck said as he took the finished gravy and poured it over the potatoes and splashed a little on the steak.

"Damn, this looks like a good meal."

"Eh, we aren't done yet." Chuck said he shut off all the burners. He walked towards the side and pulled down 4 glasses."

"No way!" Kyle said in excitement when he saw where Chuck was walking.

"Yes, way." He responded with a chuckle. "How can we have such a fine dish without a good beverage." He pulled the tap on the wall and out came a clear golden liquid.

"You got draft beer here?!" Kyle said in feigned surprise.

"Ha, ha, of course." Chuck set a tall glass of beer next to each plate.

Kyle zoomed in and filmed the meal carefully.

"I can't wait anymore bro."

"Then don't, try it and let our viewers know how it is."

Kyle positioned the camera over his plate and cut into the meat first. He stabbed a piece of perfectly cooked steak and took a bite.

"Bro, bro, I am ruined. How could you do this to me? I don't think I will be able to eat anywhere but here again. You are too cruel." Kyle said while taking another bite.

"Jeez it is so juicy. I want more. Ah, let me try a bit of this other stuff first."

He scooped up some potatoes that were covered in gravy.

"Yes, this is great. I never realized my mom was such a bad cook until I had your food. Damn, let me try the veggies."

"Ahh! Not bad, I am not a huge fan normally, but these are top shelf my bro. You sure know how to put together a dinner."

Kyle picked up the glass and started drinking. He chugged down half the beef before he set the glass down.

"Wooah! I needed that. It's a good light beer. It quenches the thirst and fills my belly. Do you have any other beers here."

"Yeah we actually have two light beers on tap and a full bodied beer. Aside from that, my dwarven friends talked me into getting a couple barrels of mead. It's like beer but a bit sweeter. It goes down real smooth though."

"Ha, ha, this is great. This is going to leave me complete satisfied."

"Well I hope not, because we aren't done yet."

"What! There is more?!!!"

"You know it!"

"Don't lie to me bro!"

"This bro isn't lying." Chuck said as he set a small bowl next to the plate.

[HarleyDave: These guys crack me up.]

[MissBeatDown: It is clearly scripted, but I still love it. Especially Kyle. Bro this, Dude that. He sounds like such a stoner.]

"This…"

"That's right. we got vanilla ice cream for dessert."

"Ha, ha, how could I forget dessert. Now this is a complete meal."

"But were still not done."

"Bro!"

"Dude!"

"Broooo!"

"Duuuude!"

"Brooooooo, but really. I could kinda guess dessert, but what are we missing now?"

"What could it be… a night cap of course." Chuck said as he sat down a small glass and pulled the stopper out of a bottle. "I got some 12 year old whiskey that you can sip will eating your ice cream."

"No fucking way. Ha great. But umm…. Bro, that pour is looking a little light. Help your best buddy out. Come on, Come on."

"Alright, alright. And don't worry viewers I will fill up the other glasses just as much as I fill up Kyles."

[BigMoney: Ha, ha, that's right. You're my boy Kyle. Thanks for getting us some extra booze.]

Chuck started pouring. "Just say when… Say when… Kyle! Damn it Kyle say when."

"Oh my bad bro, were you talking to me? I was ready comments. Sorry." Kyle said once the pour had damn near reached the top of the bottle.

"Yeah, yeah, sure."

"But that pour is still looking a little light."

"What the hell you talking about man?"

"Look, there is still at least half an inch of space left."

[PumkinTheMunchkin: Ha, ha, ha Kyle isn't going to let this go.]

[BoozeHound: My bro is right, that cup has plenty of space left.]

"How you going to lift it up I fill it that far up."

"That's my problem not yours bro."

"Bah, whatever. Just take the bottle." Chuck said as he put the bottle on the counter.

"Ha, ha, that is what I am talking about. But don't forget about our friendly neighbors in the region."

"You…" Chuck glared at Kyle and then slammed three more bottles on the counter that had already been prepared. "Ok folks. These are the 3 meals we are putting up for auction in the marketplace. You can expect to see them up in just a moment. And we are good people. So we are putting up all 3 at once. So bid on the cheapest and hopefully you can have a good night."

With that, the 3 meals vanished and went directly to the marketplace.

"Bros, just let you know. This meal would cost you about 1,500DP if you were to come into the shop to order. That may sound crazy but if you take away the whisky you are only looking at 250DP. Not bad right. Well don't forget to come and check out my bro's place. If you want an invitation card, just send him a DM and say 'I want to eat at Immortal Cuisine' and you will automatically get a card. Alright fools stay classy and be safe out there. Peace out."
