Cadmus was not confident in his ability to defeat the Monster, even if it was the only way for him to survive. Despite his immense size and strength, he had never actually been in a fight and did not know how strong he truly was if he exerted himself in one.
The Wolf Monster started to slowly walk towards Cadmus while bearing its fangs at him and growling. Even though Cadmus had no information on the Monster, he knew it was preparing an attack as all of its claws became coated in fire.
It lunged towards Cadmus at an alarming speed and swiped one of its front paws at his face which left a deep gash and caused him to fall back. The Monster attempted to jump on top of Cadmus, but before it could he rolled out of the way and stood back up.
Putting in more effort than he ever had before, Cadmus sent a kick towards the side of the Wolf Monster and sent it skidding across the ground. This had been a lot more effective than he had expected it to be which ignited some confidence within himself.
While he was still in immense pain from the claw marks on his face, the wound had been cauterized because of the fire on the Monster's claws. This meant there was no blood or damage apart from the scar it would leave, and he could continue fighting.
As the Wolf Monster regained its fighting stance, Cadmus ran towards it with as much speed as he could muster which was surprisingly fast for his size. Once again, the Monster pounced at him expecting to be able to injure him again. Except this time, Cadmus was expecting the attack.
He pre-emptively right hooked where the Wolf Monster was going to be by the time it was about to reach him. The speed and power of this punch was too incredible to be considered that of a Human from Earth, or even most Humans from Terra with Blessings and Talents.
As soon as the right hook connected, the Monster's skull was audibly shattered under the sheer pressure of the punch. Unlike the first attack Cadmus managed to land on the Monster, the right hook sent the creature absolutely flying as it slammed into a wall and slumped to the ground. The fire that was previously on its claws started to dim and then completely went out, and blood leaked from the crushed skull of the creature.
Cadmus was absolutely exhausted and felt the full brunt of the attack he previously received on his face. With his adrenaline levels dying down as he now felt partially safe, his body collapsed, and he fell unconscious once again.
After around four hours, Cadmus woke up once again. This time, however, there was no Monster sniffing at his body. Instead, the only monster facing him now was hunger. There was nothing for him to eat as he had been abandoned with the purpose of his death to begin with which meant he had no resources with him.
However, after a minute or so of thinking about what he could eat, an idea came to his mind.
He would have to eat the meat from the Wolf Monster he had killed.
While it did not seem appealing to him at all, he had no other choice if he wanted to live. This was his second life or death choice involving the same Wolf Monster, except this time he was the one who would be after the other's meat.
He walked over to the Monster that was currently starting to decompose and crouched down next to it. He grabbed one of the legs and ripped it off surprisingly easily. As the leg was covered in fur, Cadmus ripped off the outer layer to reveal the muscle and meat of the Wolf Monster's leg.
Considering he had no way to cook it, Cadmus took a bite out of the raw meat. While it made him want to throw up, he swallowed the meat and continued eating. Due to his immense hunger, Cadmus did not realise that there was a flashing box in front of him while devouring the Monster.
However, after finishing the entirety of the meat in front of him that was now a pile of fur and bones, Cadmus noticed that it was there. the box was pure white in colour with black writing.

The Teeth System has ten areas of upgrade possible for your teeth:
Size (How large your teeth are. Increases by one inch per rank in width and height.)
Amount (How many teeth you have. Increases by twenty per rank.)
Durability (How much damage your teeth can handle before being broken. Increases every rank.)
Regeneration (How quickly your teeth regenerate if they are damaged.) Increases every rank.)
Hardness (How hard and strong your teeth are. Increases with every rank.)
Sharpness (How sharp your teeth are. Increases every rank.)
Defence Penetration (How much defence your teeth can get through. Increases every rank.)
Bite Force (How powerful your bite is. Increases by five thousand kilograms every rank.)
Bite Speed (How fast your bite is. Increases by one hundred miles per hour every rank.)
Venom (How powerful the venom produced by your teeth is. Increases every rank.)
These ten attributes are possible to upgrade from rank F, all the way to EX rank which is above SSS. This can be done by acquiring teeth points from eating Monsters. The Monster's strength depends on how many points you will gain from eating it.
Rank F: needs ten points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank E: needs one hundred points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank D: needs one thousand points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank C: needs ten thousand points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank B: needs one hundred thousand points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank A: needs one million points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank S: needs ten million points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank SS: needs one hundred million points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank SSS: needs one billion points to upgrade to the next rank.
Rank EX: Maximum rank.

While slightly confused about what was going on, Cadmus could remember some of his classmates talking about things like systems in anime and had a vague idea of what they were. But that wasn't important to him, as long as it would help him survive, he was grateful to have it around.
Curious as to what the Teeth System would look like, he thought about viewing it.
