As Bree said that, the girl's eyes shone with surprise. She must've not expected that Bree would come out to her with no shame or fear.
The confidence Bree possessed and the obvious look of pride in her sexuality marveled the child and left her in bewilderment. She must've thought being gay was something one should hide from the world, no matter how many Pride March were held, homophobes were still more than the allies and due to how scary homophobes can be, it was better if one didn't openly just announce they were gay especially to a stranger.
But Bree looked proud. Like being gay was an achievement, like being in love with that woman was the best thing she could ever attain and she should be given a goddamn medal for it.
"Aren't you scared?" The girl asked, Bree raised an eyebrow, "scared that people would find out and your parents will disown you?"
