It was the worst day of her life. Sophia had felt so helpless and unloved that day, she cried till her eyes could no longer produce tears, but still nobody came to check on her if she had returned or not. That was when she started to realize how forgotten she was in the house. If she did not make a noise, her parents would forget about her existence.
When she was seventeen, a couple of weeks before she came out. Her parents had left her home to drop Sandra off at school. Sandra's School was right opposite Sophia's but her parents did not take note if Sophia was in the car or not. When they returned, Sophia confronted them about the issue, they simply gave an apology so as to avoid more said words.
Sophia couldn't keep it in anymore and confessed about her insecurities, how she felt invisible next to Sandra and how they, her parents, did not treat her like their daughter.
