A lot of theories have been in my mind lately. I gave the male nurse a pale smile before he came out. My eyes went to my aunt who was constantly asking how my brother was feeling after his everyday check up.
Something inside me wants to know the thing I've been suspecting. The excitement and anticipation I had with me earlier suddenly vanished. It is when the thought of the word "father" popped into my mind.
At first, I was too preoccupied realizing things not until I heard what the nurse said. He's here… he was here. Or am I just hallucinating when I saw him at the elevator and his name written on the paper as the head of this damn center?
"Can I go out for a minute? I'll just have to find my friend who's with me," I tried excusing myself.
"You're with Lily, sweetheart?" Aunt Mary can't hide the happiness in her voice.
