"My eyes" I squinted my eyes and covered them with my hands against the bright light that seemed to draw us in.
" This is it!"
" Welcome to the Fairies abode," Zephyr said
" Wow"
We stood in the middle of the pathway looking up at the different structures that seemed to house the Fairies at our sides, this tree had a small hollow at the bottom that gave the fairies space to inhabit it.
Their housing looked like a huge mushroom with its cap forming a round wall around, I couldn't tell the details since I was a bit far off however I could tell that this tree was much bigger than I thought. I could see fairies hovering all around, some were playing, some seemed to be focused on their business however many approached us and Zephyr.
The path we were on currently was at the center of all these structures which made us stand out and drew unwarranted attention towards us. Fairies buzzed around us with many trying to communicate with us by saying strange words and glittering about, they were probably glad that something unusual happened. We being here was simply unprecedented, it was only natural that they were curious. I got to say though, this place felt so comfortable to be in, it was so cool, warm and the sensation it provided to our bodies was heavenly.
"Ouch" I sounded and reflexively closed my eyelid, one had just bumped into my eye. A petite figure came into view, it just stood there right in front of my right eye and stared right into my eye.
' Does my eye look strange'
With the fairy being up close, I could tell off its appearance. The fairy had a short transparent white dress on, with transparent glowy gold wings, and had blonde hair. Just like the others, she had a slim figure. However her outfit was different, she probably wasn't battle-oriented like the others. Noticing my gaze upon her, her skin went pink and she flew off immediately.
'That was strange' I thought and I was perplexed.
Soon after, Zephyr addressed her peers and like that, they all went silent and stopped their ruckus, moving back to their previous doings.
" Let's move then," She said
With that, we walked down the path. Just like before, we continued to see the same housing structures.
'Just how many fairies are here'
" It should be a bit dark outside but this place is as bright as day. Just how?!"
"You'll be in the presence of the king soon, please behave yourselves," Zephyr said
We walked a bit and the structures were appearing less and less as we moved forward till we saw none anymore. It was just bright light further up the trail.
After moving a bit further, she suddenly stopped, her back was facing us previously but now she turned facing us.
'Is something wrong'
With her inaudible tiny voice, she said some things to her fellow fairies escorting us. Suddenly, they all drew back and vanished. Seems like the Fairy King wants to be with us alone.
"We are going up," Zephyr said.
Like before, gusts of wind came under our feet and around our legs however we were propelled upwards this time around with great speed. We went higher and higher at a very fast rate, it felt like my skin was going to tear off my muscles any moment and I couldn't even tell what was happening all around me. Like the others, I screamed over this sudden action.
"Wahhhh!"
Suddenly, we halted. I slowly opened my eyes when I noticed.
" We are close!" Zephyr said excitedly.
"Wow" I was bewildered, just how many amazing things will occur today.
"This is..." I paused over the astonishment
" This is the top!"
