Wolfram left the barracks, following Penelope alongside Titus and the rest.
With 2 light taps, they descended the soaring hill on which the barracks stood.
Ivo frowned. "How many injured?"
"Just one," Penelope responded. "A woman no older than 26. However, there seems to be another sick man in their group."
Hmmm.
Everyone nodded, listening to Penelope's report.
There were 6 visitors: a woman and her child and another family of 4.
Otto squinted his eyes thoughtfully. "Our Black Wolf settlement isn't close to the roads. For visitors to come, they either got lost, plan to live around these paths and start a gathering of their own, or are purposefully heading this way to hide from pursuers."
In these times, almost all peasants knew what to do when lost. To get directions, the fastest way was to climb up the trees and find out where they were.
Another way is to make your path, scanning the passing trees to avoid getting lost.
