The beastly serpent released a ghoulish cry far different from the other hissing noises from earlier.
Its massive mouth widened, and its entire body quivered with its vengeful cry.
It narrowed its eyes at Emelia like a lion stalking its prey.
Boom!
Emelia was suddenly dumbfounded, seeing the sandy-colored serpent duck its head into the sand with incredible force. And the last thing she saw was its tail.
'It's trying to attack me from beneath.' She inwardly reminded.
And what is so irritating is that even during this competition, if a beast goes underground, it wouldn't be traceable unless she too went underground. In simple terms, the map wouldn't show its icon until it resurfaces.
Huh.
Emelia flinched vigilantly, seeing several waves of sand moving across a surface not too far away from here.
It looked like a giant incisive hand was scribbling on the sand.
