Chapter 226 - POV - Changes

Rosch sat in the back of a rundown musty wagon with his wife and son. 

The winter was harsh. The cold air flushed through the wooden cracks, causing them to shiver. 

Unlike the nosy state of the town and its surrounding settlements, there was silence in every corner around them, proving just how far out they had travelled. 

It's been 3 months and 1 week since they left the settlement they once called home. 

Their settlement was one of those particularly close to Claymore Town. 

Being close to the town meant they were more protected from thieves and bandits than other far away areas. 

They also saw more powerful people sweep by their village every now and then. Their village was barely a 2 and a half day walk on foot to Claymore town. 

'I should have known this day would come,' Rosch thought wryly. 

Just because they are more protected from Mother nature and other bad guys, doesn't mean they were entirely safe.
