The sounds of death bellowed across the scene, as many held their children tight within the underground bunker they had long dug in their Village hall center.
Their jaws were raw from quivering and their bodies stiff as rocks when holding their loved ones close.
People sweated buckets with heightened senses when listening to the movement from above.
They sat on dry aged grass covering the pout they dug underground, underneath their homes.
Of course, after digging, they lined it with stone and sticks, so other underground beings like worms wont come crawling in. The grass cushioned their buttocks, but not their heavy hearts.
The women and children stayed below, while the men stayed above, some indoors, and others outdoors, joining the village warriors in defense.
Last night, they experienced the first wave of attacks, but held on strong.
