As the name suggested, it was a bathing barrel, one wide enough to fit one adult or 2 children playing with bubbles while bathing.
It could also be used as a laundry barrel, used by the women and men to wash clothes and dishes in.
Now, with the wide barrel half way full, Wolfram held out a sac full of quicklime, suspending it over the water.
