At the party
After a few hours and finding directions to the party in a neighborhood Beck had never gone to before, he finally arrived in front of the house where the party took place.
Parked in the driveway of the house, he spotted his friends waiting for him at the front door. "About time, he showed up," he could hear one of his friends say as Beck got out of his Jeep and saw his friend get punched right on the arm.
He chuckled as he finally met his friends at the front door, and they all went inside to enjoy themselves.

It wasn't an hour since Beck and his friends were partying with other people he had never met before; he had never seen any of these people in his school. He wished for his girlfriend. Emma could come along with him to the party so that he wouldn't feel unsure about the other girls who surrounded him and his friends during the party.
He hasn't gone to a party with his friends since last year's soccer game when they won at the other school. He spends his time between his family and Emma. During the whole summer, he rarely goes out with his friends because his girlfriend would think he'd be cheating on her. So, he tried his best to explain to her that he wasn't going to. Beck wasn't the cheating boyfriend type; he might be a troublesome guy when it comes to getting himself in trouble, but honestly, he's just looking out for others.
From the distance across the room of the party, he could see his friends fooling around in the pool in the backyard of the party, while Beck leaned against the wall inside the house, making sure his friends didn't drink too much.
Beck took a sip of his drink; he could finally enjoy himself without his parents and brother bothering him.
He thought everything would go well with his friends until he saw one of them rush over to him. "Yo man, you have to see this right now," his friend, Anthony, confessed, trying to catch his breath from walking over to where Beck was standing.
He raised a brow in question, "What's wrong?"
Anthony says nothing but points in the direction of a blond girl who sits across from a guy flirting away with him. She looks like his girlfriend, Emma.
"Emma?" Beck murmured, though his night just got worse. He didn't expect that to happen.
