Kyal glanced down to his phone,his fingers trembled slightly and a pained expression donned his handsome face as he reread the messages sent between him and Zya.He was with his male friends,Laud and Blaze in a restaurant,but he couldn't find himself an appetite to eat anymore.
He just finished his daily classes with his private tutors,30 mins ago so he and his friends decided to meet in one of the famous and expensive French restaurant in the town 'La délicieuses'
Kyal's father is a rich man but not one of the richest in the town but Kyal's father is a man with great vision.He wants to train Kyal as his heir so that Kyal can take his place and achieve far more beautiful things that he has in his lifetime.
Kyal took a glance at his phone.He tried to lie to himself, telling himself that Zya is just kidding like usual, that he's not an ordinary friend to her!
"Damn man,chill!"Blaze placed a hand on Kyal's tensed shoulder.Watching his friend's pained expression while staring at his phone make him feel so uncomfortable
Laud rolled his eyes in displeasure"I get that she's beautiful but don't you think she's too much?That bitch should know her place!A rich and handsome man like you is running after her but she's playing hard to get!When they're a list of girls begging to get laid.."Laud scoffed loudly
Immediately Kyal yanked Laud by the collar before he could say another bad word about his girl.His eyes darkened and with a murderous gaze he punched Laud in the face heavily"No!You don't know her.None of you know her.So,don't ever call her a bitch!"Kyal scowled at Laud then, threw him away and walked out of La délicieuses angrily
Blaze threw Laud an annoyed glance then hurriedly ran after Kyal.He quickly held Kyal's arm to stop him from entering his car"You know Laud is just blunt and straightforward!But still cares about you!"
"He should keep his mouth where he is if that's what he called care.!"Kyal growled in annoyance
Blaze turned Kyal around"You know he's right!You can't keep going after Zya forever!"Blaze knew Kyal is probably the only one who loves Zya most but Kyal is too afraid to reveal his feelings to Kyal,"At least tell her what you're feeling and let her know about it."
Kyal's shoulder slumped down in defeat.He ruffled his hair to calm himself of the nervous feeling."She's not ready for relationship.And I'm afraid of hearing No from her.!"He let go of the car door handle sadly.His handsome face was immediately covered with a forlorn expression"I think I'll die if she refuses me.And I think I messed up now by posting my cousin on my social media page.I lied that she's my girlfriend and now she's angry at me!"
"She's angry at you?"Blaze widened his eyes in excitement
"Hm!"Kyal nodded in defeat as he twirled with a key holder
"Congratulations,I think she likes you too."Blaze says to Kyal happily
"I don't think so.Sometimes she feels easy and the next time I don't understand her at all!I can't guess she likes me!"
"It's probably because she don't understand what she's feeling.You're both childhood friends so that tag would make her think that's what you're both still"
"God!"
"You're so whipped!"
"I know.I have to go now.I'll go see her.!"
"Good luck with that.You know she can be scary as..!"Kyal sent him a cold glare before he could finish his words.He sent Kyal an apologetic look"Damn,I'm just kidding,bro!"
On his way to Zya's house,Kyal called Zya's phone number but Zya refused to pick it up.On the fourth dial Zya picked it up and said coldly"What?"
"Where are you?"Kya asked with a gentle tone immediately.He silently urged his driver to drive faster
Kyal could hear her shuffling about,Zya is probably arranging her house again"Where did I tell you I am?"Zya replied angrily.She tried to stop her anger but she couldn't find a way out of the unknown anger consuming her
Kyal ruffled his hair in distress.Zya is still annoyed with him"I'm on my way to your place.!"
Zya stiffened immediately"No,don't.My parents are almost here..!"She lied immediately
Kyal slumped onto the chair,his facial expression became sad immediately.He really wished to see her face,it's been weeks since he have seen her personally.And Zya refuses to send him a picture.Kyal doesn't know the reason why Zya always has a low self esteem when she's the most beautiful person he has ever met in his life.She's every guys crush
Zya slumped on the chair.She bit her lips due to the guilty feeling she has now due to the lies she told Kyal.She really felt guilty for talking to him like that on social media. 'He's just a friend to me,why should I feel hurt that I hurt him?Like something is piercing my heart?'She thought in bewilderment
Few minutes later,she received a call from one of her friend's Nell''Ayo mama!"Nell said in his mischievous tone
"Stupid guy!"She rolled her eyes,commenting with a smile at her childhood friend,Nell antics''What's up?''
His stomach rumbled loudly"Damn.I'm hungry!You home?"
"Nope you foodie!"Zya rolled her eyes
"Great!I guess you are home then
I'm on my way already."Nell said and cuts off the line
Within 10 mins a knock was heard on Zya's door.She first checked to see if Kyal was still hanging around but when she sees that he's not around,she opened the door and quickly let Nell in
"I'm so hungry!"Nell voice boomed loudly in the sitting room
"Shut up!"
Zya went over to the kitchen take out some noodles to cook for him"why?didn't you go home?"
"I was playing football all day.And momma's gonna kill me if she knows I'm still going over after eating.!"
"So you intended to use my place.You rascal.She said to him and smacked his head!
He rubbed his head and said in grievance"Such a bully.Is it done?"
