CHAPTER 4
Flynn ran up the stairs while remembering all the floors that he had passed along the way. As much as he wanted to be quiet, his weakened body wouldn't allow it. Panting and struggling to make it up the stairs, Jace managed to get a glimpse of his silhouette.
"Seems like the little mouse is awake." He said with a smirk.
"To me, it seems like you are head over hills in love." Mumbled Xander.
"What was that Xander?" asked Jace with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh, nothing. I thought it was little doll." Replied Xander as he took a big gulp. Even though he was friends with Jace, he was very afraid of him as Jace was savage!
"Well, since he is awake, why don't we check on him, hmm?" said Jace as he turned to Xander with a creepy smile. Xander shivered in his Martin boots as he found a smiling Jace to be very scary.
Jace was a handsome man, but his cruelty at times over shadowed his ethereal looks.
