"Luckily, my apartment isn't too far away. Just a few blocks out. Otherwise, I would die!" she said. At an intersection, Lorna plopped down and took off her heels. As she rubbed her sore feet, her tears threatened to flow again but she did not want them to so she looked up. She truly felt sorry for herself.
goodness! I almost went out naked!" she muttered in surprise as she grabbed a bath robe.
Putting on her slippers, Lorna walked to her door and peeped through the peephole.
"That's strange." She thought. "I could have sworn that I heard some banging."
Opening her door, Lorna was stunned as she found a guy slumped at her door. Normal reaction suggests to either check on the person or call the police. For Lorna, she just stared on in shock that a guy was at her door!
She looked down the hallway all the way to the elevator expecting to see Simon, Julianne or Anne.
