Strutting in her high heels, Lorna wondered around the town a she left the hotel. Her face was tear-streaked as she trudged on in silence.as she walked on the gravel, she cursed Kevin over and over in her mind. Thanks to them, she was heavily intoxicated. Now she had to stumble all the way to her apartment.
'My heels hurt. Did I really have to wear my heels to the crappy event? Even Pumps would have been enough!' she ranted internally.
"Luckily, my apartment isn't too far away. Just a few blocks out. Otherwise, I would die!" she said. At an intersection, Lorna plopped down and took off her heels. As she rubbed her sore feet, her tears threatened to flow again but she did not want them to so she looked up. She truly felt sorry for herself.
