Everything looked exactly the way he had met it the first day he was given the room. It was part of his routine to never leave a trace of his presence anywhere; even if the boss was the one who arranged his space.
Lucifer came out into the hallway; it was quiet again with just muffled sounds of the activities going on around the inn and inside the inn. He took the first step and the cold sensation at the soles of his feet made his brows furrow. Dropping his line of sight onto the cold tiles, Lucifer realized how he discovered the tiles were cold.
He wasn't wearing any shoes on his feet. Still staring at his bare feet, Lucifer wondered how he had forgotten his black boots. Mexico was really doing things to him that he didn't appreciate in anyway.
He went back into his room to put on his boots then stepped out into the hallway, doing a thorough mental check of anything he might have missed. He had his shoes, toys and sketch pad all tucked in properly.
