But Mamita Julietta's is not far from here!" Pedro called out exasperatedly.
"Better for you!" Lucifer responded and kept walking.
There was silence for a while, and Lucifer thought he decided to go on without him, but Pedro's voice rung out- with a little bit of a tease,
"There's a shortcut from her restaurant that will lead straight to your destination. . ."
And, Lucifer stopped.
Pedro immediately ran up to him, doing nothing to hide his beaming face.
"I have one request, though." Lucifer piped up as they briskly walked down a narrow path.
"I'm ready to do whatever you say."
"Great," Lucifer mumbled. "I don't want you forcing me to speak when we get there."
"You mean speak Spanish? You're holding a grudge because of what happened last time?"
"I mean speak, at all. . ." Lucifer emphasized. "Don't force me to say anything if I don't want to. I'm not holding a grudge now, but I certainly will if you do it again."
