Chapter 25 - Special Request

Exactly as Jayke said, now Jayke and Carla are busy opening the tools that have just come to Jayke's apartment.

"Where did you actually buy all these tools? If I look closely, the name or the return address looks all mysterious and odd. Are you sure that this is the item you ordered?" asked Carla who was honestly a little worried if Jayke was being tricked or something.

With a genuine smile, Jayke showed Carla.

"Don't worry, this is all true, I can guarantee it myself," Jayke said, sounding reassuring.

"How are you so relaxed Jayke? Can you really check?" asked Carla who was still curious about her best friend who did look very relaxed without the slightest fear or worry.

Jayke shrugged his shoulders, and after that, he opened the box that was still sealed and took out a tool that Jill herself didn't know what tool Jayke was holding, and soon Jayke took another tool and it was as if he was checking the barcode. Jayke checked the item and connected it to the screen in front of it.

"This is a real item, did you see the code here? It shows that this item has a special certification."

Hearing that, Carla could only nod her head, she didn't want to argue too much and argue about unimportant things, where she knew for a fact that Jayke could prove the doubts she had previously felt.

"Alright, I trust you, so what exactly is my job then?" asked Carla at last.

The reflex of Jayke's free hand gently ruffled Carla's hair. The blush on Carla's face was now clearly visible on both girls' cheeks.

She really didn't expect Jayke's treatment to make her heartbeat unable to run steadily. Her heartbeat was beating faster than usual

Carla took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She tried her best to control her emotions.

'You're cute. Oh my gosh, Jayke! You have to focus first!' Jayke cursed in his heart which honestly felt a different vibe in his new best friend.

Soon Jayke invited Carla to sit close to him in front of his many computers.

"Put your finger here Carla," Jayke said starting his job.

Carla frowned in confusion because she didn't understand what Jayke was trying to do. Shouldn't Jayke tell her how to operate the computer as well as what things will be her job?

That's more or less in Carla's brief thought.

"This is necessary so that you can open my computer because my computer has been set by me, only I can use it since later you will be my avatar here as long as I am Nial, so you must first have access to use my computers."

Hearing a fairly clear explanation from Jayke, of course, made the girl busy nodding her head, confirming what Jayke said.

Not long after, Jayke had been busy with data encryption in front of him, he created a special database so that Carla could access several searches which he thought would be used by Carla, but of course Jayke, who was very careful, had made a backup of the data, as well as a special database that Carla will still not be able to access.

Why is it like that? Wouldn't it be Carla who later helped him in solving the case that happened to Jayke's father and Nial, as well as Nial himself who was Carla's ex-lover, as well as Jayke's identical twin brother.

{Success}

"All you need to do is look at the people who will pass by in front of me, and you just have to tell me who these people are, as well as what the brief profile details of the notes we will make later.

"Ah, well ... it seems like this is an easy thing, then how can I see who is in front of you?"

Jayke got up from his seat and took a small box not far from the pile of boxes of goods that had just arrived today.

"This, I'll wear this," Jayke said as he pulled out a small box from the large box that Jayke had just opened.

"Wait, isn't that just an eye contact lens?" asked Carla who was quite surprised when Jayke took out the usual box of contact lenses that are usually sold.

"Correct, it's just that this contact lens is a contact lens that has been modified in such a way that it can have a proper function like a camera that is recording images that are in front of it when wearing it, and also of course when connected to this small object," Jayke said casually, while the amazed Carla looked slightly gaping when she heard Jayke's explanation, which she thought looked cool in front of her.

"You don't want to try it first, so I can see the truth of what you just said?" Carla asked quite enthusiastically and hoped that Jayke would try the contact lenses first.

Just a quick shake of the head Jayke gave Carla.

"Why?" asked Carla, now looking quite disappointed.

"These contact lenses are only disposable, and if they are used now, then they can't be used the next day," said Jayke, giving understanding to Carla who didn't know what to do with things like that.

"Ah, I don't know if it's like that, if that's the case then you don't have to try it so you can use it later on the D day you say."

"That's okay Carla, after all, I'm glad you're enthusiastic about helping me," Jayke said trying to make Carla not think too much about it.

Carla chuckled softly, hearing those words from Jayke. How could she not be enthusiastic about helping Jayke, who is her new best friend, moreover the victim is her ex-lover who can be said to have known Nial for a long time so there are not a few signs or attitudes of Nial that Jayke may not realize because he has been separated for a long time, he can learn from Carla, right?

"Mmm... I have a special request of you, I just hope you don't misunderstand what I mean."

Carla frowned in confusion.

She did not understand the direction of the conversation that Jayke would say.

"What kind of special request Jayke?"

"Can you help me dress up or direct my style or attitude so that I can imitate Nial properly and not be suspected by those around me later?" Jayke asked Carla first.

A light chuckle just sounded from Carla's lips.

"Of Course Jayke, you can ask me anything you want to know," Carla said effortlessly.

'Looks like Carla has started to forget about Nial.'
