Ozul stared blankly at Zoe in response to her excitement over recognizing him. Or more accurately, he was staring at the spot over her shoulder like a weirdo.
Either way, Mara didn't think it would be possible for him to look any less interested in Zoe if he tried.
Zoe smiled anyway. She stood on her toes and leaned to the side just a tiny bit, probably so he would look at her face instead of the space next to her ear. "It is you, isn't it?"
Ozul's eyes narrowed a smidge as if caught off guard by the way she'd forced herself into his line of sight, then narrowed even more as if annoyed with himself for being caught off guard at all.
Since he didn't look like he was going to answer any time soon, Mara nudged him with her elbow, just in case he'd gotten stuck or something.
"Yes," he said flatly. "I am me. What kind of question is that?"
