The ambrosia, sweet as honey and richer than any wine, overpowered Rowan's senses and filled his chest with a pleasant burn that made him want to hold his breath to keep it all inside.
His first thought was that he'd gone and done it and would suffer some unimaginable consequence for drinking something that was only meant for a god like Yamm.
His next thought was who cares because that stuff was great. It hit him almost instantly, a sort of ecstasy that both sharpened and dulled his senses a the same time. Everything around him seemed more vibrant, full of energy that couldn't be contained by physical boundaries.
He was completely and utterly intoxicated.
Reluctantly Rowan let out his breath, and the warmth spread all the way to his fingers and toes, making him feel like his whole body was vibrating in the most enjoyable way. He realized he was smiling.
