"Are you planning on inspecting them individually? We will be here all night."
Rowan's body had grown hot all over from the way Wren's eyes moved deliberately from freckle to freckle, lingering longer than necessary on each one as if even the tiniest spot of skin was worthy of prolonged attention.
Wren had announced that he was examining Rowan from the toes up, one leg at a time, and so far, he'd only made it as far as the first shin. At this rate, Rowan would melt completely by the time he was done.
"When you complain, I can only assume that means you want me to go even slower," Wren said.
The expression on his face was one of pure focus, making Rowan feel like he'd been lured in by a predator that wanted to take his time with the meal that had fallen into his lap.
Rowan rather liked it.
