"Are you sure this is necessary? I really can walk without waiting for you to help me." Rowan called out from his place in bed. "In fact, I would feel better if I was moving about…I can only lay around so much."
Wren, who was in the bathroom fussing with the bath water he was preparing for Rowan and doing who knew what else for the last fifteen minutes, had insisted that he not move without assistance.
Initially, Rowan had tried to object more vociferously, but Wren had manipulated him into a state of compliance with a sudden display of dejection that had miraculously vanished as soon as he got his way.
"It is absolutely necessary." Wren called out cheerfully in response. "That was the agreement the last time you hurt yourself, and it still stands. Loma has promised to keep everyone away from us from a few days, and during that time you are going to allow me to take care of you however I see fit."
