Rowan had never been totally nude with anyone before. The old doubts whispered in his ear, but he'd discovered that he no longer cared to listen to them. Instead of feeling insecure, the thought of exposing himself completely to Wren made him feel powerful.
And it wasn't like Wren was exactly able to watch him since he was trapped. If his gaze was completely on him, Rowan might feel differently, but surely he could muster the courage to take this step.
Wren's lips parted, but no sound came out. Now the part of his eyes that belonged to him and not his illusion almost seemed to beg.
Rowan swallowed. "Do you want to know what I think? I think you've already freed yourself and are only pretending so that I will give you what you want." He wanted it, too, but that was neither here nor there. He touched Wren's forehead again and narrowed his eyes. "Okay, not quite. But you certainly have enough of your senses back to pout. Here…at least sit down first."
