"Now I will release you from my magic, and time will resume its course." The shifting depths of Ozul's gaze lingered briefly on Rowan's face before sliding away. "Luckily you are here now, where your father's false rules don't apply."
As he spoke about Ciprian, the charcoal of Ozul's irises darkened until they'd turned almost completely black. His voice, while still quiet, took on an edge sharper than his wolves' teeth. Erebus's eyes hardened to diamonds at the sound of it.
"As My Sire's favorite, you should take solace in knowing that Death's exile from your world is only temporary, one way or another. No matter how much Ciprian's Fear tries to pretend to be a god, it will never win. Either Death reclaims his rightful place, or your world destroys itself and My Sire starts again in a reborn reality. He is eternal."
