Nicasi instructed the guard at the gate to take a break, waiting until the adherent was out of sight before retrieving Lysander from where he'd deposited him. He stood with his back perfectly straight, in front of the tree but not touching it, his hands clasped neatly in front of him. While Nicasi was gone, he'd made some attempt to fix his hair, but one long strand hung out of the back of the sloppy bun.
The seductive promise of that slightly messy hair combined with the way Lysander had just kissed him made it very difficult for Nicasi to focus on his task. Nothing excited him more than the sight of Lysander in all his serene glory, except for the sight of him disheveled.
Luckily the streets were empty, but Nicasi led his alluringly rumpled embodiment of logic behind the buildings anyway just to be safe. Adherents were used to seeing Lysander come and go at all hours of the day and night, but they weren't used to seeing him out of sorts like this.
