"Right this way, Your Majesty." Aeron bowed.
The hairs on my neck stood up and a chill went down my spine when he approached. My heart wanted to turn around and leap into his arms but my body wanted to run the other way and disappear.
"Who's this?" Renaud's voice was close. He was standing right behind me.
'Oh no, will he recognize me? No, there's no way he'll recognize me. But…Aeron remembered me, and Lady Syn did too. Maybe it was just because they were my childhood friends. I've only met the king once before the exchange, so he won't recognize me…right?'
"This is…"
"I'm sure the lady can speak for herself, Sir Aeron."
I clenched my eyes and sighed through my teeth. 'Floor, open up and swallow me now!' Forcing on a composed face, I turned around with my hand on my chest and my head bowed. "My name is Charli, My King."
"Charli you say? Well, that must be a popular name. It's a pleasure to meet you, My Lady."
