I could barely sit up let alone fight in my state, yet the adrenaline rushed through my body and my hands moved to defend us, but before I could move, the hooded person knelt before me.
"My Queen, Lady Dee has sent me to retrieve you."
I gaped at him in shock.
"Hurry, My Queen." I turned my gaze to Sarey next to me. She picked up a satchel by my side of the bed, like she knew this was going to happen and had already prepared ahead of time.
DING DING DING
The warning bell rang loudly and threw me out of my trance.
"We must go now!" He quickly stood onto his feet and made it over to my bedside in three big strides. The hood cast a shadow over his face in the dark and I couldn't see him. He bowed courtly, "forgive me, My Queen." He leaned down and picked me up into his arms.
